Hindustani classical music or Shastriya Sangeet is the traditional classical music of Northern India.
Students at Geetanjali are introduced to classical and semi-classical forms of music with experience of performance before large and small audience. The focus it to lay the foundation with which they can later on pursue higher degree in music.
Students also learn to play harmonium along with their vocals.
Students also prepare for graded exams which helps them to have a structure in their learning. The credit points collected help them in admissions in schools and universities.
Geetanjali one of its kind provides the primary or alternative career opportunity to the students that may have finished the formal training in the Academy. The students will remain attached to Geetanjali, and who will want to choose it as the primary career, at the outset will be given volunteering and teaching opportunities. Geetanjali maintains a very healthy relationship with the leading music producers of the UK and India. This will be leveraged by the students through participation in various concerts and exchange programs. Geetanjali facilitates the use the modern technology tools for the ongoing and distant lessons. The younger students will be offered all the ongoing projects that Geetanjali acquires e.g stage shows, music albums, fusion albums, concerts for social gathering, choir opportunities, to name a few. The Academy prepares the students with care to appear for the graded exams.
